Roselle Park mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, 89
Julia K. Kaulfers (nee Kelly), 89, a lifelong resident of Roselle Park, N.J., passed away peacefully at the home where she was born, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020.
All are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, at Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, N.J. To send online condolences to the family, please go to www.mastapeterfuneralhome.com.
She was the borough clerk for the Borough of Roselle Park from 1988 to 1995.
Julia was a member of the Rosary Altar Society and Eucharist minister at the Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park, Den Mother for Pack 155, and last surviving member of the Aldene Social Society Especially Social in Roselle Park.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Arthur J. Kaulfers; her loving son, Sgt. Robert M. Kaulfers of the PAPD, and Karen A. Kaulfers, and a dear brother, John W. Kelly.
Julia is survived by four loving children: Jack and his wife Emily, Susan K. Nerbak and her companion, John Fox, Edward and his wife, Janine, and Carol K. Visconti and her husband, Antonio; daughter-in-law, Luz "Cookie" Kaulfers and her companion, Tom McDonough; a dear brother, Thomas Kelly; 10 adored grandchildren, Timothy and his wife, Nicole, Meredith, Charles, Nicholas, Allison, Jonathan, Michael, Rebecca, Brian, and Megan, and two cherished great-grandchildren, Alejandro and Nico. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and friends.
