Sandy, UT-Bertha "Bert" Hill peacefully passed away on Friday, February 7, 2020 with her family by her side. Bert was born in Bennett, Utah on November 26, 1935 to Mervin C. Bolton and Nellie McKowen Bolton. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Richard "Dick" Hill; sons: Scott Hill of Spokane, Washington, Stephen Hill and his wife Shannon of Fort Collins, Colorado; and sister, Lola Williams. She leaves behind 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, in addition to may nieces and nephews.Her greatest joy in life was her loving husband; her and their third Schnauzer, Sammy. Bert will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family wishes to express our deep gratitude to the staff at Valeo Hospice, Home Instead, and Sunrise Senior Living Center of Sandy for their kindness, generosity and compassion during these difficult times.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 14, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Union 4th Ward Building, 1834 East Creek Road, Sandy, Utah. A viewing will be held Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary, 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights and again one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Interment at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery.
