Dr. Aaron Shinbein, 90, of Monroe Township, N.J., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2020.
Services will be held at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapel, 44 Wilson Ave./Route 527 N., Manalapan, N.J. , on Sunday at 11 a.m.
Dr. Shinbein was a renowned obstetrician-gynocologist in the Caldwell, Montclair and Livingston, N.J., area for over 60 years. He worked out of St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. He retired five years ago after a long and illustrious career.
Aaron graduated from New York University, Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa in 1951, and then went on to getting his medical degree from State University of New York-Downstate Medical Center in 1955.
He married the love of his life, Celine Shinbein, on July 26, 1953, and they were happily married for 50 years.
Born in Newark, N.J., Aaron lived in Elizabeth, Irvington, West Caldwell and North Caldwell before moving to Monroe Township.
Dr. Shinbein is survived by his daughters, Beth Ann Cohen (Edward), Naomi Wolford (Randy); son, Larry Shinbein (Andrea), and two sisters, Gertie Yogel and Ada Grossman. In addition, he has seven adoring grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Phillip Shinbein.
