KLAPP, Betty Louise (Holland) Betty Louise (Holland) Klapp, 86, of Abilene passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at Hendrick Hospice Care Center. A visitation will be held at Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Avenue in Dallas from 2:00-3:30 pm Sunday, February 9th, with a graveside service to follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Piersall Funeral Directors in Abilene. Betty was born on September 22, 1933, in Emory, Texas, to D. E. and Dassa Beasley Holland. Shortly after reaching school age, Betty moved with her family to Dallas where she graduated from Adamson High School. On June 10, 1955, Betty married the love of her life, Don Klapp; and the couple chose to remain in Dallas to raise their family. After retiring, Betty and Don moved to Abilene to be closer to their grandchildren. Over the years Betty put many of her God given gifts to work by being a seamstress, a hairdresser, and an administrative assistant for several different organizations as well as the church she and her family attended, Skillman Avenue Church of Christ. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Francine Sellers. She is survived by her husband, Don; daughters Karan Duwe and husband Randy and Kathryn Klapp; brother, Charles Holland and wife Kathy; grandchildren Josh Duwe and wife Madge and Julee Roark and husband Justin; great-grandchildren Grant, Miles, and Jack Duwe and Ellee and Amos Roark, as well as many other extended family and close friends.
