PATTERSON, Brian Stephen Brian Stephen Patterson was born August 2, 1966. He grew up in Dallas, attending First Baptist Church of Dallas and graduated from First Baptist Academy in '85. His high school passion was football, and he received many awards, including Defensive Conference MVP, All State Defensive player of the year, First Team All Conference and First Team All State. After working as an insurance claims adjuster, he attended Dallas Baptist University, earning a BA in Business with a minor in Philosophy. He later continued his career in the insurance industry. He met his soulmate, Stephanie, in 2012, and they married in 2015. As a couple, they enjoyed international travel. Brian had suffered from diabetes and its complications for many years. Most recently, he developed cardio-pulmonary and other issues and died peacefully in the hospital, surrounded by his family. Brian is fondly remembered for his gregarious nature, sense of humor, and loyalty to his friends. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Patterson, his mother, Marlene Patterson, and his sister, Ann Marie Patterson. He also left behind his cousins, Taylor Tompkins (Julie) and their children, Tara Harwell (Stephen) and their children, and Phyllis Vermillion (Gary). Brian was preceded in death by his father, W. Drake Patterson and his grandparents, Altha and Jim Stephens and Pat Herndon. His funeral is 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 2 at Sparkman-Hillcrest. Burial and reception to follow.
