BROWN, Ada Merle Ada Merle Brown 94, of Dallas, TX. Died Nov. 20, 2019 of Alzheimer's. She was born to John Talley and Dovie Meredith in Mt. Vernon, Texas. She married Melvin Brown on Feb 2, 1946 in Dallas, TX. She was a Homemaker. She is survived by Daughter Brenda (Scott) Giboney of Mesquite, TX. Sons Larry (Marsha) Brown of Mesquite, TX and Tim (Mary) Brown of Pflugerville, TX. Grandchildren Brian, Meredith, Emily and Jacob and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Husband Melvin Brown. Ada Merle graduated from Mt. Vernon High at 17, moved to Dallas to attend Draughn's Business School downtown and worked at North American Military Plant. Shortly after the war, she married Melvin in Dallas on February 2, 1946 and lived in Oak Cliff. Then, they moved to Lake Highlands area in 1960. She was a homemaker, loving and devoted Mother to her 3 children, 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was a member at her beloved church Lake Highlands Baptist Church since 1960. She also taught 3rd grade Sunday school for many years. She will be missed very much by her family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of the Christian Care Center in Mesquite for their loving care. Funeral Services will be held on Monday 11/25 at Lake Highlands Baptist Church 642 Brookhurst Dr. Dallas,TX 75218. Visitation will be at 10 am with Services to begin at 11am. Burial will be at 2pm at Colliers Chapel Cemetery in Franklin County.
