Antoinette Saponara (nee Franco), 93, formerly of Roseland, N.J., died on Dec. 6, 2019.
Relatives and friends are invited for visitation on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Shook-Farmer Funeral Home, 45 Roseland Ave., Roseland, N.J. 07068. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, Roseland, N.J., with interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J. Born and raised in Philadelphia, she lived in Newark, N.J., then East Orange, N.J., and settled in Roseland in 1966. She was a loving meticulous homemaker who enjoyed to cook for her family. Later in her life, she worked as a cashier at ShopRite in West Caldwell, N.J. She was a member of the Roseland Senior Citizens Club.
Predeceased by her husband, Theodore Saponara; her son, Teddy Saponara; and her brothers, Frank Franco and Joseph Franco, she is survived by her beloved children, Linda Kopko (Chester) and Robert Saponara (Rose); cherished grandchildren, Stephanie (Anthony), Michael, Dawn (Mike), Rachel (Jo), and Sarah; loving great-grandchildren, Jake, Ashley, Ryan, and Lia; caring daughter in-law, Teresa Saponara; dear sister in-law, Madeline Spada.
