Barbara Lee Nestler (nee Zimmerman), 86, of Livingston,N.J., died on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019, at her residence at Brandywine at Livingston.
Funeral services will be held at the Menorah Chapels at Millburn, 2950 Vaux Hall Rd., Union, N.J., at 1 p.m. today, Monday, Dec. 9. Interment will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, N.J.
Barbara was a teacher in the New Providence school system, teaching third and fourth grades for 30 years before retiring. She earned a master's degree from Kean College in 1973 and was a longtime active member of Temple Emanu-El of Westfield, N.J., and Hadassah.
Born in Newark, N.J.,she lived in Mountainside, N.J., West Orange, N.J., for 20 years, and Boynton Beach, Fla., before moving to Livingston 2-1/2 years ago.
Predeceased by her husband Monroe Nestler, she is survived by her daughter, Susan Wohlgemuth and her husband, Jerry; her son, Gary Nestler; and his wife, Anna Winderbaum; and grandchildren, Sarah, Adam, Zachary and Jake.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Jewish Federation or Parkinson's Disease Research
