Anne Marie Leone, 85, of Clark, N.J., entered into eternal rest on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2019.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the visitation at the Walter Johnson Funeral Home, 803 Raritan Rd., Clark, on Sunday, Dec. 8, from 2 to 6 p.m. The funeral begins at the funeral home on Monday at 8:45 a.m., thence to St. Agnes Church, Clark, where a Funeral Mass will be offered at 9:45 a.m. Entombment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, N.J. Mrs. Leone was born in Scranton, Pa., to Joseph and Claire (Kubowicz) Churla. She graduated from East Orange High School and planned to pursue a career in the performing arts of dancing and acting. She was offered a scholarship at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. She lived in Clark for 27 years, prior to moving to Westfield, N.J., 17 years ago.
Mrs. Leone worked part-time at St. Agnes Rectory for many years, where she was also a Eucharistic minister, lector, a member of the Rosary Society and RCIA.
Mrs. Leone is survived by her devoted children, JoAnn McGeorge, Nancy O'Connor and her husband, Patrick, and Larry Leone and his wife, Miriam; her cherished grandchildren, Kyle, Courtney, Rachel, and Sarah; her dear sister, Beradine McMillian, and many loving nieces and nephews.
