REILLY, Amanda Simpson Amanda Hoffard Simpson Reilly entered God's Glorious Kingdom unexpectedly at the young age of 43, on October 21, 2019, at her home in Rowlett, Texas. She is survived by her adoring and adored husband, daughter and son, William (Billy) Thomas Reilly, Jr. , Brittany and William Christian of Rowlett; her parents Rod and Brenda Simpson of Mt. Pleasant; her mother and father-in-law Bill and Vi Reilly of Frisco; her sister-in-law Donna Reilly and children Thomas and Kennedy of Frisco. She is also survived by four siblings and their children; Emily Simpson of Portland, Oregon; Roddy and Nikki Simpson, Eli and Josie of Highlands, Texas; Caity and Nathan Rutledge, Claire and Brooke of Longview, Texas; and Molly and Evan Webb, Bowen and Aven of Longview. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Russell and Marion Hoffard of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, and paternal grandparents, R. W. and Ruth Simpson of Cincinnati, Ohio. Known at home as Hossie or Mandy, she was born to loving parents in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, on October 3, 1976. After completing Mt. Pleasant Schools, graduating in 1995, she attended Kilgore College, where she was a member of the 56th Line of the World Famous Kilgore College Rangerettes. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with her degree in interior design and began an extraordinary career in the design world. Specializing in kitchen and bath design, she was featured in such notable publications as "House Beautiful" and "Better Homes and Gardens." Following an endearing marriage proposal at the Simpson family home, Billy and Amanda were wed January 22, 2005, to continue their love affair that had surprisingly begun in a pool hall. Amanda and Dallas's official Hottest Man in a Uniform built their lives around each other, Brittany, and later added little Peanut. They never took each other for granted and lived life without regrets. Currently she was employed as a registered interior designer at Hawkins-Welwood Luxury Home Builder, working in the greater Dallas area. A life-long perfectionist, she was detail oriented, creative and organized in her work and home life. Any project with her thumbprint was a work of art. Her many friendships attest to her infinite caring, loving and sensitive nature, her gorgeous smile, engaging personality and hilarious sense of humor. She could add a note to any card that would bring tears and sighs every time. She had a deep faith and love of our Lord. She was a member of Rangerettes Forever, a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers and a member of First United Methodist Church Rowlett, where she loved working with the children's groups. Amanda was also on the Stephen F. Austin State University Interior Design Advisory Board. A celebration of Amanda's life is scheduled for Monday, October 28, 2019, at First United Methodist Church Rowlett, 4405 Main Street, Rowlett, Texas, 75088. A visitation will take place from 1:30-2:30 with the service to follow.
