Duda, Alfred "Fred" expired November 8, 2019. He was born in Miami, Florida, on November 28, 1931, the only son of Polish immigrants, John and Bertha Duda. He graduated from Miami Edison High School in 1949 as class valedictorian. It was there that he met the love of his life, Jo Nell Proctor, whom he married in 1954. In 1955 Fred graduated from Emory University and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. After serving three years in the USAF, he returned to South Florida and started his practice in Hollywood, Florida, retiring in September, 1997. He loved his profession, and it showed---always kind, considerate, available, and truly dedicated to his patients. As a loyal member of the Hollywood Rotary Club, he achieved 55 years of perfect attendance. Fred is survived by his wife of 65 years Jo Nell, his son John Duda and his wife Tara Regan Duda, his granddaughter Elizabeth Duda Robuck and her husband Mike Robuck, and his grandson Justin Duda. His second son, Scott, preceded him in death. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 16th, at 11:00 a.m. in Hollywood Hills United Methodist Church, 400 N. 35th Avenue, Hollywood, Florida, 954-989-8304. Friends and family will gather for a reception in the church's great hall following the service. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to Hollywood Hills United Methodist Church.
