Andrew "Andy" Reider, 68, passed away on Oct. 28, 2019, at his home in Hillsborough, N..
Born Dec. 11, 1950, Andy was the son of Andrew and Mary Reider. He grew up in Clark, N.J., where he graduated from A.L.J. High School in 1969.
Andy pursued a career as a skilled tool and die maker. For over 50 years, he worked at Colony Plastic Molds then Medtech until he retired in 2015. Andy had a passion for hunting and fishing. He was a loving son, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend.
He was predeceased by his father, Andrew Reider. He is survived by his mother, Mary Reider of Clark; his three children, Desiree Zappa and her husband, Christopher, of High Bridge, N.J., Andrew Reider of Philadelphia, Pa., and Nicole Meszaros and her husband, Joseph, of Hillsborough, N.J.; his four grandchildren, Tyler, Logan, Savannah and Aubrey; his sister, Veronica Zizza and her husband, James, of Clark, as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be at the Hillsborough Funeral Home, 796 U.S. Hwy. 206, Hillsborough, N.J., 08844, from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Mary Mother of God Church, 157 S. Triangle Rd., Hillsborough, N.J., 08844 at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to or the Humane Society of the United States in his name.
