Anna Marie (Christians) Krommenhoek, 88, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2019, at the Chelsea in Fanwood, N.J. Born in Fort Lee, N.J., Anna grew up in Hoboken, N.J., before moving to Westfield, N.J., in 1957, and had been a resident of the Chelsea since 2014.
Anna was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Westfield, where she had taught Sunday school and served on the Altar Guild.
She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Krommenhoek, who died in 2015 and by her brother, Sonny Christians. She is survived by her two daughters, Debra Krommenhoek (Kevin Hiler) and Janet Kelk (Jay); her son, Steven (Carol Nemetz); sister, Elizabeth Bruno (Larry); five grandchildren, Melissa Persia, David Persia (Virginia Woods), Daniel Kelk, Noel Krommenhoek and Christian Krommenhoek, and her great-grandchildren, Faith and Dominic Woods.
Services will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 229 Cowperthwaite Pl., Westfield, on Saturday at 11 a.m. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be at Memorial Funeral Home, 155 South Ave., Fanwood, on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. For additional information or to sign the guestbook, visit www.fanwoodmemorial.com.
