Longtime Millburn resident, beloved youth football coach
Allan A. deCastro (AL-D) 60, passed away Monday, Oct. 14, 2019, after a brave battle with cancer.
He was born in New Jersey on April 28, 1959, and grew up in Maplewood where he attended Columbia High School, class of '77.
He was a longtime resident of Millburn, N.J., where he lived with his family and raised his two sons. He was also a youth football coach beloved not only by his sons but by all of the team players, who to this day have a special bond with him.
He is survived by his sons, Robert and Luke; their mother, Lynn Felber deCastro; his mother, Adeline Lee deCastro; sister, Doreen Czirok; brothers, David and Douglas; life partner, Jill Behrman, as well as many nieces, cousins, Godchildren and innumerable friends.
By his own admission and rightfully so, he was very popular. "FACT"
