Linden centenarian, secretary, loved to travel with her husband
Mrs. Anna (Tiny) Breznak Chornoboy, 101, of Linden, N.J., entered into eternal rest on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2019.
Anna was born and raised in Elizabeth, N.J., were she graduated from Battin High School. She then moved to Linden in 1943.
Anna was employed as a secretary to the Linden Library director, retiring in 1980. Previously, she was a secretary at Rosedale Cemetery in Linden. During World War II she was a secretary for the Manhattan Project, where she received a meritorious citation for her work from the U.S. Government.
Anna loved traveling with her late husband visiting all over the United States, Europe and Asia.
She was a member of the Linden Men's and Women's Club.
She was the beloved wife of the late Casmer "Casey" A. Chornoboy, who died in 1999, and the loving mother of Jeffrey Chornoboy and his wife, Regina, and the late Joseph; cherished sister of the late John Breznak and the late Katherine Rhudecap.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral from the Leonard-Lee Funeral Home, 301 E. Blancke St., Linden, on Thursday, Oct. 17, at 8:45 a.m. The Funeral Mass will be offered in St. Thomas the Apostle Byzantine Church Rahway at 10am. Interment will be in St. Gertrude Cemetery Colonia.
