CURRY STEELEY, Billie Margaret Billie Margaret Curry Steeley, of Garland, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, September 27, 2019. She was born July 26, 1927 to William Hill and Flora Lee Curry in Austin, TX. Growing up an only child, Billie learned self-reliance and determination at an early age. Billie moved with her parents to Dallas around the age of 9. She attended W.H. Adamson High School and was a member of The National Honor Society. For many years her picture hung in the hallway of Adamson with the caption, "Always gets the job done well." Billie married James Thomas Steeley after graduating high school. They were married for 57 years before he passed away in 2002. She worked at various jobs as a clerk typist until her children came. Billie loved to read, was an amazing seamstress, and loved to do genealogy, but her favorite rolls were wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her greatest love was being being a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, touching the lives of many. Bille is preceded in death by her parents Bill and Flora Curry, her husband, James Thomas Steeley, her daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Larry Willard, her grandson, Daniel Williad and her great grandson, Timothy Aaron Melton. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Curtis Scoggins, four granddaughters and theirs faamilies, Amanda and John Melton (Mark and Hannah Melton); Rachel and Morgan Schihab (Haley, Avery and Aiden Schihab); Angela and Arlen Jensen (Ashley, Melanie, Nathan, and Connor Jensen); Melinda and Aaron Fore. She also leaves behind extended family and a host of Friends and contacts she made through doing genealogy. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Lake Pointe Church, White Rock, 9150 Garland Road, Dallas, Texas. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 1, 2019 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home.
