ZADOW, Alma Zadow, Alma Violet, a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away at the age of 90, on October 3, 2019 in Allen, TX. She was born in Marsh, MT on October 12, 1928 to John Jr. and Karolina Schmidt. She graduated from Sidney High School in 1946 and was employed by the County Assessor's office. She married Dale Zadow on August 24, 1952. She was an active member of Messiah Lutheran Church singing in the choir and volunteering in many other areas. She worked for Northrup King, Unitek and Marshall Erdman & Associates until her retirement in 1996. She was a charter member of the Assistant League of Greater Collin County from 1996 until her death and was the recipient of the Ada Edwards Laughlin National award in 2007. She enjoyed playing bridge, travel & cruises, attending family reunions and watching her grandchildren play sports. She is survived by two sons, Dr. Lynn Zadow (Allison) of Plano, TX and Douglas Zadow (Melissa) of Melissa, TX; five grandchildren, Sarah Zadow of Seattle, WA, Sydney Williams (Joe) of Willow Park, TX, Shelby Guthrie (Aaron) of Argyle, TX, Drew Zadow (Christina) of Richardson, TX, and Skyler Zadow of Melissa, TX, seven great-grandchildren; Reid & Rhett Ferguson, Judson, Bishop, Rowan, and Hogan Williams, and William Zadow, sister; Amy Hanlon of Wailuka, HI, bother; Erwin Schmidt of Billings, MT, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Dale Zadow, her parents, sisters; Christine Baggot, Pauline Schmidt, Anna Becker, Ella Barr, and Pearl Hamburg, brothers; Gottleib, Otto, Reinhold, and Theodore Schmidt. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday at Melissa Cemetery for Family only.
