On Sept. 18, 2019, Barbara (Vrabel) Gomes of Iselin, N.J., passed away at the age of 83.
Barbara was born on Oct. 31, 1935, in Garfield, N.J., to George and Helen (Seliga) Vrabel. Barbara had a great love for her family, the beach, and card games.
She is survived by her husband of almost 65 years, Mario; son, Gregory Gomes; daughter, Barbara Lynne McCue (spouse, James); grandsons, Jonathan McCue (spouse, Cassandra) and Bryan Gomes; granddaughter, Christine Medvecky (spouse, Christopher); great-grandsons, Cameron Medvecky and Theodore McCue; brother, Robert Vrabel (spouse, Patrice), as well as much extended family.
Visitations will be held on Friday, Sept. 20, 2019, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Rd., Edison, N.J. Funeral services will be on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019, at 9 a.m., at the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Cecelia's Church, Iselin. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her loving memory to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at www.nationalmssociety.org.
