Antonia O'Neill, 83, of Beach Haven, N.J., passed away at her home on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2019.
A memorial visitation will be offered on Friday, Sept. 20, 2019, from 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Liturgy at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 4700 Long Beach Blvd., Brant Beach, N.J. 08008. The family would like to thank the many wonderful people who provided such excellent and loving care to Antonia.
Antonia was born in New York City to James and Antoinette Lalley in 1936. She was raised in Manhattan and worked for several financial institutions in NYC. In her later years, she served as the comptroller of United Plumbing Supply in North Plainfield, N.J., for 10 years until her retirement. Formerly of Colonia N.J., she moved to Long Beach Island 14 years ago. She was always intellectually curious and an avid reader. Antonia loved the arts, especially opera and antiques. To be close to the vintage items she loved, she worked part time on LBI at The Wizard of Odds. She was devoted to her beautiful Persian cats - originally Belle and Beau and then Ariel and Snowball.
Antonia was preceded in death by her husband, John.
Surviving Antonia are her sister, Theodora Fernandez; daughters, Christine Martin and her husband, David, and Carol Heard and her husband, Gary; son, Frank O'Neill; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
