RICHMOND, Carol Ann (Dial) Carol Ann Richmond (Dial), age 69, went peacefully in her sleep on August 25th, 2019 in Houston, TX. A rosary and mass will be held Friday August 30th, 2019 at 1pm at St. Monica's Catholic Church 9933 Midway Road Dallas, TX 75220. Carol was born to Luther Clifford and Mary Catherine Dial in Corpus Christi, TX on August 20th, 1950. She received her early education in Corpus Christi and went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from Del Mar College's nursing program in 1974. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1981 from University of Texas at Arlington. Carol was a pioneer of AIDS nursing in the Dallas medical community in the 1980s. She married Dr. John R. Richmond on November 5th, 1977 in Corpus Christi. Carol was the mother of 6 children; Mariah Ann (Tom), Sarah Elizabeth, John David (Jessica), Michael Benjamin (Maria), Luke Clifford (Cindy), and Jasmine Leigh. Carol's passion for helping others was sparked by mission work in Central America as a teenager. This experience led her to her lifelong nursing career, her large tight-knit family, and motivated her and John's commitment to foster care. Her house and arms were always open to those in need. She was a selfless caregiver, a mother to all, and a devoted wife and partner. Carol is survived by her husband John, her six children and their spouses, her brother James Dial, her 13 grandchildren: Mimosa, Marigold, Eliana, Sophia, Joseph, Parker, Walker, William, Westly, James, Mariah, Louis, Timothy, and her beloved dogs Brutus and George Michael. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Carol's memory to either The Salvation Army or North Dallas Shared Ministries.
