DALE, Annette Annette Waldrop Dale of McKinney, Texas passed away on August 23, 2019; just 3 months shy of her 90th birthday. She was born on November 15, 1929. Shortly thereafter, she was adopted by Marks and Nannie (Nan) Waldrop of Wylie (Abilene), Texas. Annette constantly gave thanks for being raised a "farm girl" by wonderful, loving and devoted parents. Having graduated from Wylie High School in 1947, Annette then attended McMurray College while working in Abilene. She later moved to Wichita Falls for better employment and met her future husband, Roy Dale while attending a drive-in movie with her friends. The two were married on May 12, 1956, then settled in Richardson, Texas and started their family. Annette was a devoted mother, wife and friend. She had three children, Nancy, Hugh and Jeff. In 1982, Annette and Roy opened McKinney Lumber Company in McKinney, Texas. Shortly thereafter in 1984, the two moved from Richardson to McKinney. Annette and Roy were generous contributors and supporters of Community Health Clinic as well as numerous other McKinney non-profits. Annette was a member of First United Methodist Church, Owls Club, Heritage Guild and Meals on Wheels just to mention a few. She lived her life with vibrance, love and compassion. Those who were fortunate enough to have her in their lives are truly blessed. She will be missed dearly. Annette is survived by her children, Nancy Shaw, Hugh and Tami Dale, and Jeff and Christi Dale; grandchildren, Cara and Joseph Wong, Amanda and Austin Fox Carly Shaw, Drew Dale, Samantha Dale, Annie Dale and Sadie Dale; and numerous other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Dale and her parents, Marks and Nan Waldrop. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 7, 2019 at First United Methodist Church, 315 N. Church Street, McKinney, Texas.
