Dr. Carl Ross, 90, made his transition on Aug. 25, 2019. Born in Hampton, Va., he was a resident of Bridgewater, N.J., and a former resident of Montclair, N.J. He was a pediatrician in East Orange, N.J., and a U.S. Army veteran.
He was the beloved husband of Marion Ross; devoted father of Sherry Lynette, Carla Juliet and Wendy Eileen (Ike); dear son of the late Willard Alexander Ross Sr. and the late Sara Jane Tucker Ross; loving brother of Vernon Tucker Ross (June) and the late Willard Alexander Ross Jr. and Hollis Carver Ross; brother-in-law of John Mudd, June and Josephine; cherished grandfather of Michael Kenneth Haley and Justin Ross Jenkins. He is also survived by a great-granddaughter and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Fountain Baptist Church, 116 Glenside Ave., Summit, N.J. Interment is in Rosedale Cemetery, Orange, N.J. Visitation is Thursday, from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church. Arrangements are by Whigham Funeral Home.
