Pharmacy owner and pharmacist, 'family was his main priority'
Anthony M. Manicone of Wharton, N.J., formerly of Totowa, N.J., passed away suddenly with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, N.J. He was 76 years young.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Aug. 26, at 11 a.m. at St. James of the Marches Church, 32 St James Pl., Totowa, N.J. Entombment will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa. Public visitation will take place on Sunday, Aug. 25, from 2 to 7 p.m. at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville.
Former owner of Baron Drug Store in Rutherford, N.J., Anthony took pride in his job as head pharmacist. He was a dedicated member of Garden State Pharmacy Owners and past president of the Bergen County Pharmaceutical Society.
His main priority in his life was his family - they came before anything else. His legacy of unconditional love and laughter will continue on in the hearts of his beloved wife of 52 years, Betty; his treasured children, Lori Ann Manicone and Thomas Anthony Manicone and his wife, Coreen; his cherished grandchildren, Jennifer and William; his three siblings, Michael (Maria) Manicone, Carmela (the late Stephano) Cusmano, and Frank (Nancy) Manicone, and many other extended family and friends, especially those at Fox Ridge who became adopted family.
