Mrs. Ann E. Henckel (nee English), 92, died on Monday, Aug. 26, 2019.
She was born in Lyndhurst, N.J., married and lived in East Orange, N.J., before returning to Lyndhurst in 1971, where she had been a resident since.
She was a secretary for Griffith Foundation of Newark, N.J., before becoming a fulltime homemaker for her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, George Henckel, in 2006, and her two children, Daniel and Catherine Henckel. Ann is survived by her loving daughters and sons, MaryAnn Hildebrand (Bill), Georgeann Ferrie (John), Patricia Braitsch (Bud), Barbara Lyman (Bill), Joanne Henckel, Thomas Henckel (Yvonne), Douglas Henckel (Jory) and Peter Henckel (Carla); by her dear 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, also by her many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, N.J., on Friday, Aug. 30, 2019 from 3 to 7 p.m. All will gather at the funeral home on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019 at 9 a.m. Then to Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst, where at 10 a.m. a Funeral Mass will be offered. Interment is in Calvary Cemetery, McLean Boulevard, Paterson, N.J.
