Mother, sister and aunt, remembered for her 'positive attitude'
Betty Joy Catalon, 71, formerly of Westfield, N.J., passed away July 28, 2019, in Florida.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, Church of the Sacred Heart, 751 Main Ave., Bay Head, N.J.
Born in Elizabeth, N.J., to the late Betty and Lt. Thomas A. Catalon Jr. of Westfield, Betty lived in Garwood, N.J., and Indialantic, Fla. She worked in office administration for several companies, including Chubb, Bristol Meyers Squibb, and Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School. Betty was the office manager for Cocoa Beach Community Church, Florida, before retiring. She will be remembered for her cooking skills, love of animals, positive attitude and willingness to help anybody and everybody.
Surviving are her son, Thomas, Florida; sister, Gail Teese, Ortley Beach, N.J.; brother, Thomas A. Catalon III, Point Pleasant, N.J.; nieces; nephews; cousins, and many close friends.
