Anthony R. Carrino "Tony," 79, of Bonita Springs, Fla., formerly of Newark, N.J., passed away peacefully on July 14, 2019. Tony was an educator, coach, politician, director, commissioner and police officer.
He was the beloved husband of Ann Marie (Poeta) Carrino. devoted father of Lynn Carrino, Maria Carrino, Joseph Carrino and his wife Dawn; Toni Ann Carrino-Casale and the late Anthony Carrino.
Tony was the cherished grandfather of Jiana and Jolie Casale, Scarlett and Sienna Carrino, loving brother of Joseph "Duke" Carrino, Maria Desimone, Dennis Carrino, Rosalind Cocuzza and Thomas Carrino. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home 210 Ridgedale Ave., Florham Park, N.J., is Thursday, July 18 from 3 to 8 p.m. The funeral is Friday, July 19, assembling at 10 a.m., followed by the Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover, N.J., at 11 a.m. Interment is at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
